Lox
Location: Florida
Type: Exterior
Year: 2024
Concept:
LOX is defined by the intersection of geometry and nature. We envisioned the landscape as a "deconstructed grid," bridging the gap between rigid architecture and the soft, organic backyard. It is a refined sanctuary designed specifically for structured,
Materiality:
The material palette relies on deliberate contrast. We utilized cool-toned, large-format white marble pavers set against lush, vibrant synthetic turf. To provide warmth, natural cedar wood pergolas define the overhead space, echoing the clean lines of the residence's standing-seam metal roof.
Process Narrative:
Execution centered on erasing the boundary between the interior and exterior. Our team prioritized rigorous leveling to ensure the checkered paver-to-turf transition was perfectly seamless. By minimizing the planting scheme to curated, architectural specimens, we achieved a minimalist aesthetic that feels both grand and intimately livable.
