Skyline Crest Residence
Location: –
Type: Exterior
Year: 2021
Concept:
Skyline Crest Residence is conceived as a cantilevered sanctuary overlooking the city. The architecture emphasizes floating volumes and transparency, creating a dialogue between gravity and lightness. The infinity-edge pool extends the horizon line, dissolving the boundary between built form and skyline.
Materiality:
Vertical timber cladding softens the rectilinear geometry, contrasting with expansive floor-to-ceiling glazing and dark metal framing. Large-format stone surfaces unify interior and exterior platforms, reinforcing spatial continuity. Glass railings preserve unobstructed views, while the reflective water plane becomes an architectural surface that amplifies light and depth.
Process Narrative:
The design began with site-driven massing, positioning volumes to maximize panoramic views while maintaining structural balance. Cantilevered forms were developed to create tension and visual lightness. Exterior living platforms were integrated as primary spatial elements rather than secondary terraces. Material transitions, transparency, and reflected light were carefully calibrated to elevate the residence into a seamless indoor-outdoor experience from sunrise to dusk.
